On Saturday, October 23rd ‘Climb For Change” will be be running their second fundraising event at Joe Rockhead’s Climbing Gym. The “Triple Threat” competition aims to raise $2,500 for both the Ontario Access Coalition and for the search and rescue efforts for Jonathan Jette and Rachel Bagnall. Please come and join us to support these great causes.
If you are unable to attend the event, but would like to donate, please email CFCRockheads@gmail.com with you name and phone number. The event will feature a unique bouldering competition, that should proves to be quite entertaining for competitors and spectators alike. The format will utilize a 3 person team approach with a minimum of 1 male and female per team. The top 6 qualifying problems from each team will be combined and the top 10 teams with the highest score will move onto the finals where each member must climb 2 of 6 problems. This new format will yield non-stop action for the finals as there will be no downtime between problems.
If you would like to participate, but can’t find a team, Climb For Change will pair you up as part of the registration. If you have found a team please email it to CFCRockheads@gmail.com.
